ALTERNATIVE THERAPY

LOOKING FOR HELP…..

My name is Gail.  I was diagnosed with MS in 1995.  With numerous attacks and many physical therapy programs, I was working ever so hard to stay mobile and independent: with the goal of being pain free. As my MS progressed, and combined with other factors of Arthritis, Asthma, Reflux, and aging, the sum was second RRMS.  Now what?

I was in constant pain.  Muscle and joints were painfully swollen.  Weakness and depression had me too tired to do or care about much, but maintaining one’s independence demands positive action. That’s right, the more you know about you and MS, the better you quality of life will be. Some have tried almost anything to relieve the pain and symptoms that are real.  Pain can and does inhibit your ability to think, move about, and find comfort.  Help!!

My husband, a retired letter carrier of the Us Postal Service, worked long hours with back breaking loads.  So he was knowledgeable about work related muscle aches, fatigue, and back pain.  While at a business fair in our local community, we met a young doctor of Chiropractic health.  As we listened to him, my husband made an appointment for an evaluation exam.  I later learned that my husband was set up for a recovery program and this was covered by out Medicare.  Also the use of an activator instrument meant no pushing, pulling, or twisting of joints was necessary for spinal alignment.  I stayed home and my husband went for treatments.  He was improving so rapidly that I could enjoy his stress free movements and a kinder person as his pain levels became lower.  We shopped longer hours, went out to garage sales as he was able to get in and out of the car with ease.

I wanted the same relief, but DDJ had me shy about manual movements of any body parts.  Could this be an answer for me?  Should I step out of my safe shell???  YES!!  After a friendly interview, where his methods and theories were explained, I became his patient and started a program of pain management.

So natural, but different, conclusion, my pain level is at a comfortable place that I am exercising without the payload of muscle pain or fatigue.  The deep pain and soreness are under control.  I have learned more about my body and what I can do and enjoy. This means a new and better world because less pain means the word HOPE is within my grasp.  Expanding my choices and reaching out to see there is room for personal growth and improvement, to manage pain and advance the quality of one’s life through natural alignment.  What a relief to conquer the walls of MS, through an alternative path to self-help. Lowering or taking control allows me to successfully be a better person, a better me—Gail Geyer
Thank you

Dear Dr. Parks:

I pray for you each night,  although we have never met.  My sister, Marge Matteson, is a patient of yours and it is through her words that I have learned of your healing touch.

Marge has never had an easy life.  She was always the first in line to help anyone.  It didn’t matter that she was a small woman,  she kept up with the men, lifting, pushing her way toward a goal.  After a lifetime of hard work, her body began to protest.  She had almost given up finding a healer until she walked into your office.

You listened to her concerns about her body, learning she was one tough woman.  Work is all she has ever known.  With your gentle touch you repaired the damaged she incurred from years of hard work.  Spring has arrived and she must get into her garden to till and plant her foods for those rainy days ahead, and now she can.

Thanks to you, my sister is back to doing the things she loves.  I pray she continues to improve and visits you when she must.  You will never know how much you have touched Marge’s family.  We pray for you and thank you every day.

Best Wishes, Gail Courtney
